Dr. Behzad Omranzadeh, a specialist in urban planning and spatial justice, holds a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from the University of Tehran. He completed his undergraduate and master's studies in the same field at the University of Tehran and the University of Zanjan. His research areas include spatial justice, urban management, urban transportation, urban policy-making, and housing policy.
Dr. Omranzadeh is one of the prominent researchers in the field of spatial justice and urban planning in Iran. In his doctoral dissertation, he investigated spatial justice in ideal cities, focusing his case study on Tehran. He has published numerous articles on spatial justice analysis, urban management, and transportation systems, and has been an active participant in national and international conferences.
Throughout his academic career, he has earned several honors, including top rankings in the national entrance exams for master’s and Ph.D. programs, receiving academic commendations, and membership in the National Elite Foundation. Additionally, he has been recognized as a distinguished researcher at the University of Tehran.
In the research field, Dr. Omranzadeh has authored numerous scholarly articles in reputable journals. Some of his most important works include "The Theory of Social and Spatial Justice in the Islamic City," "An Analysis of High-Rise Development in Iran," and "An Approach to the Role of Architectural and Urban Design in the Urban Policy-Making Process in Iran."
Alongside his academic activities, he has also held significant executive responsibilities. These include leadership of the Iranian-Islamic City Think Tank, head of the joint Sadr Research Institute (a collaboration between Imam Hossein University and the Expediency Discernment Council), and consultancy roles in national urban management projects.
