Dr. Mehdi Mohahedi Bekenazar is an assistant professor and faculty member at the Faculty of Humanities of Shahed University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics with a specialization in Islamic Economics from Imam Sadiq University and is engaged in research and teaching in the fields of Islamic economics, philosophy of economics, taxation systems, housing economics, game theory, and behavioral economics.
His executive experiences include serving as the spokesperson for the Iranian National Tax Administration, head of the Regulatory Center for the Sales Terminals and Taxpayers' Systems, head of the Center for Training, Research, and Tax Planning of the country, membership in the Supreme Council of the Iranian Association of Certified Tax Consultants, and deputy for Support and Human Resources at Shahed University. He has also been a researcher at the Research Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) and secretary of the Economic Think Tank at the Center for Islamic-Iranian Model of Progress.
Dr. Mohahedi has published numerous scientific research articles in the fields of Islamic economics and taxation. Among his most recent works are: "Modeling Tax Declaration Behavior and Quality of Tax Processing: A Game Theory Approach", published in the Journal of Tax Reform in 2023; "Modeling and Nash Equilibrium Analysis in Tax Processes with an Approach to Iran’s Tax Administration"; and "Foundations of Fair Tax Governance and Its Impact on Economic Justice".
In addition to his research activities, he teaches various courses at different universities, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, game theory, economic analysis of public policy-making, and mathematical economics. He is also actively involved in authoring and translating academic books, reviewing research articles, and conducting educational workshops.
