Dr. Niloofar Hashemi is a researcher and faculty member at the School of Governance, University of Tehran, and a prominent figure in the interdisciplinary fields of development, governance, environment, and conflict studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Sociology from Allameh Tabataba'i University, with a dissertation focused on "Environmental Resilience in Iran after the Islamic Revolution." She also completed a research fellowship at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, specializing in conflict studies and deep democracy under the supervision of Professor Thomas Campbell.
