Dr. Niloofar Hashemi

Dr. Niloofar Hashemi is a researcher and faculty member at the School of Governance, University of Tehran, and a prominent figure in the interdisciplinary fields of development, governance, environment, and conflict studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Sociology from Allameh Tabataba'i University, with a dissertation focused on "Environmental Resilience in Iran after the Islamic Revolution." She also completed a research fellowship at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, specializing in conflict studies and deep democracy under the supervision of Professor Thomas Campbell.

Dr. Hashemi's areas of expertise include:

• Conflict studies, resilience, and sustainability,

• Sustainable development and social solidarity economy,

• Discourse analysis and computational social networks,

• Integration of qualitative methods and data science

• Director of the Dialogue and Conflict Resolution Center at the School of Governance, University of Tehran,

• Cultural Policy Advisor to the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology,

• Director of Development and Sustainability at the School of Governance

Dr. Hashemi has also been recognized as a top researcher by the National Elites Foundation and has received numerous research awards, including the Shahid Vezvaei Award, the Ahmadi-Roshan Award, and the Elites Academic Scholarship. Her studies at international universities such as the University of Delaware, Virginia Tech, and EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) in Switzerland further attest to her global academic achievements.
